Ronald E. Sturtevant

Ronald was the son of Donald Sturtevant and Elaine Sturtevant (Pollard). At the age of 19 he met the love of his life, Carole Sturtevant (Jansen). They were married the following year.

As a plumbing and heating contractor, he ran a successful business for almost 50 years before retirement. His love for the outdoors started at an early age as a boy scout. Ron enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing, as well as playing tennis with his wife and summer vacations at the family lake house in Maine. Ron was a devoted Christian and member of Bethany Church in Stamford for over 40 years. He volunteered with the Royal Rangers and offered to pick up anyone who wanted to go to church.

Ron is survived by his wife Carole, daughter Doris Tucciarone, son in law Luigi Tucciarone and their children Megan and Michael Tucciarone, as well as his sisters Patricia Pearcy and Nancy Hine, along with many nieces, and nephews. He is predeceased by his son David Sturtevant.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday, June 22nd from 4-7pm at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home at 2900 Summer Street, Stamford, CT. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 24th at 11am at Bethany Church at 2 Scofieldtown Road, Stamford, CT. Burial to immediately follow at Long Ridge Union Cemetery.
