Ronnie D. Bautista, “Daddy Ronnie” and “Toto Ronnie” as fondly called by many, 79 beloved father, father in law, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away at Stamford Hospital on November 29, 2019 at 7:58pm. He was surrounded by his family Ruby, Ivym, Lee Roy, Julia, Warlita and Judy. Ronnie was born in Cadiz City, Philippines on March 02, 1940 to Jesus and Angelina Bautista.
Ronnie graduated High School from Siliman University, Dumaguete Philippines and earned his degree of BS Chemistry from Adamson University, Manila Philippines.
Ronnie worked at Vicmico - Victorias Milling Company as a Chemist for a short time before he and his wife, the late Hedeliza Rubiato Bautista run their own business as Sugar Planters and owners of Liza’s Pharmacy in Fabrica and Cadiz Branch. He then worked as Market Superintendent in Cadiz City before he transferred to Land Transportation Office – Cadiz City where he retired in 2004.
Ronnie migrated to United States, in 2004 where he lived with his two siblings – Judy and Warlita and Cesar in Morristown, NJ. He worked as US Security Officer at AVIS/Budget Corporation for 10 years before he retired.
Ronnie moved to Stamford Connecticut in 2014 where he lived with his daughter Ruby Bautista Berja, son in law Ivym Berja and grandchildren Lee Roy and Julia. He loved relaxing in his recliner while watching his favorite TV shows. One “task” he loved the most is waiting for Lee Roy and Julia coming home from school. Ronnie enjoyed going on vacation with family. He went on vacation to Virginia, Lake George, Bahamas, Universal Studio, Disney World, Epcot, Canada, Michigan, Martha’s Vineyard, Boston, Aruba and Jamaica. He enjoyed going to parties in Dumont and Bergenfied in NJ where he spent his Holidays with family and friends.
Ronnie was an active member and a Past President of Rotary Club of Sagay City and Rotary Club of Cadiz City. He was also a Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus in Fabrica, Sagay chapter and a member in Cadiz City chapter.
Ronnie is survived by his daughter, Ruby, son in law Ivym, grandchildren, Lee Roy and Julia, sisters Warlita Bautista and Judy Santiago, nephew Jojo Santiago, niece Angelina Baloyo and grandkids Maryel, Jolas, AJ, JanJan, Angeline, JR, Alexa and Danielle.
Viewing and service is scheduled on Saturday, December 7, 2019. Viewing is from 2pm-6pm and service will start at 6pm at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Homes, 2900 Summer Street, Stamford Connecticut 06905. His remains will be cremated Monday December 9, 2019 and will be buried in Bacolod Philippines at a later time.
