Mrs. Ruth L. Bell

Mother Ruth Bell departed this life for life everlasting on Thursday, February 24, 2011. She was born in Wolfton, S.C. to the late Henry and Frances (Maple) Dykes.She was raised by her great Aunt and her parents. Her early childhood education was in South Carolina. Ruth moved to Stamford and married the late Mr. William Bell, Sr. and to this union they were blessed with eight (8) children- Joyce, William Jr., Linda , Robert , Randy, Kim, Mark and Donna and an adopted daughter Linda Armstrong Francois. Ruth's love of the elderly and sick compelled her to work as a Certified Nurses Aide. She worked for the VNA of Stamford and various other agencies in Stamford for many years. Ruth moved to Middletown, CT in 2000 and she joined the Deliverance Haven Church under the leadership of Bishop Mamie Gallaher. She was a member of the Mother's Board and she served faithfully. Mother Ruth Bell leaves to cherish precious memories her beloved chirdren, Joyce Bell, Donna Bell of Stamford, and Randy Bell of Middletown and her adopted daughter Linda Armstrong Francois. She leaves her hopes and dreams to her grandchildren, Hope, Crystal, Billy , and Oliver and all of her love to her great grandchildren, Taj, Marcus, William Jr., Hassien, Shayla, Shanica, Shanice, Shana and Saniya. She also leaves to rejoice in her homegoing her church family and many friends. Her family will receive friends from 11 AM -12 PM on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer Street, Stamford. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 12:00 PM immediately following the visitation.
