

Born in Stamford, CT, Veronica was the daughter of Anna and Andrew Thomas. She grew up on Seaside Avenue, got married, had two children, and worked as a homemaker.
Ronnie was very active in her church and community. She was an accomplished baker, known for her chocolate log and sour cream cake. She was the last original resident on Deacon Hill Road, having lived there for over 65 years. She was known for her beautiful flowers and charming demeanor. She will be greatly missed by her neighbors, who loved her dearly.
Veronica is survived by her daughter, Beverly Zurman; her granddaughter, Christine Nash; her grandsons, Todd Zurman and Barry Nash; her sisters-in-law, Kathy Thomas and Ester Thomas; her grandkitty, Otto; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband, George Zurman; her son, George Zurman Jr; her brothers: John Thomas, William Thomas, Joseph Thomas, Andrew Thomas, and Edward Thomas; her sister, Anna (Thomas) Condon; and her great granddaughter, Alissa Nash.
Friends are invited to calling hours on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer Street, Stamford, CT 06905. Funeral Service is on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 10:30am at St. Benedict – Our Lady of Montserrat, 21 St. Benedict Circle, Stamford, CT. Burial to follow immediately after at Queen of Peace Cemetery, Rockrimmon Road, Stamford, CT.
