

Born on April 18, 1924, in La Vallée, Jacmel, Haiti, to the late Vital and Leonie Lesperance, Vilias devoted his life to serving the Lord and guiding others in faith.
In 1976, he came to the United States, where he worked faithfully as a machinist at Polycast until his retirement.
Vilias loved God and his family deeply. He encouraged those around him to be their best and led by quiet example — a man of honesty, respect, love, and unwavering faith. He touched every life he encountered with kindness, joy, and a gentle spirit.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Esther, and sisters Amante, Antonine, Vitalie, and Martha.
He is survived by his children Marie Lucienne Guerrier (Pastor Gerald), Paul Guy, Jean Edy, Ruth, and Clarice Marler (Dr. Eric); 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; his brother Bernard, sister Therese, and many loving nieces and nephews.
A wake will be held on October 31, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, located at 2900 Summer Street, Stamford, CT 06905.
A second viewing is scheduled for November 1, 2025, from 8:00 am to 9:00 am at the First United Methodist Church, 42 Cross Rd, Stamford, CT 06905.
The Celebration of Life will immediately follow from 9:00 to 10:30 am.
