Bill will always hold a special place in my heart and memory.  I raced with Bill out of Stamford  in the 70s and 80s and on several races to Bermuda.   He was always the perfect captain:  competitive, but always keeping it in perspective.  Never one to scream or to blame.  And with a sense of humor that always meant being with him was going to be completely enjoyable.   Those were some of the happiest times in my life.  I send my condolences to Bill's family and friends.  Bill, fair winds my friend.

I have many fond memories of Bill sailing Tuesday nights (and others) out on Long Island Sound. He was always a friendly competitor who made sailing so enjoyable!
So glad he was able to get out on the water later in life. He will be missed. One of the original Breakwater Irregulars!!

We are so grateful that, at Bill’s initiative, we re-established our relationship.  Will never forget Bill and Audrey making a special trip to Virginia so that Bill could give our son Matt his first salute as a Naval officer.  That meant more to us than you will ever know.  You led a good life.  Rest in Peace.
