

William "Bill" Michelotti, 66, of Stamford, Connecticut passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of January 12, 2025. Born on December 12, 1958, in Port Chester NY, Bill was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose presence touched the lives of many.
Bill is survived by his devoted wife, Deborah Michelotti; his older brother, John Michelotti, and sister, Lynne Swift; his loving daughters, Cassandra and Jessica Michelotti; and his adored granddaughter, Harley O’Connor. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, William "Will" Michelotti Jr., whose memory Bill held close to his heart.
A man of unwavering commitment and compassion, Bill was a monumental leader within the Addiction Recovery community. He provided steadfast support and guidance to countless individuals on their journey to recovery. Bill’s dedication to this work was not only a testament to his own perseverance but also a beacon of hope for many. This year, he was set to achieve a remarkable milestone: celebrating 20-years of sobriety —a profound accomplishment reflecting his resilience and dedication to living a life of purpose.
Bill had a lifelong passion for anything with a motor. He found solace and peace in the thrill of going fast, whether it was on wheels or in the water. His love for speed and adventure brought him joy and was a defining part of his spirited nature. He had an immense sense of pride in his work which included two businesses- one, a family business inherited from his father, and the other, a brainchild of his very own. His creativity and strong will was something that propelled him forward in all areas of his life.
A visitation will be held Monday, January 20th at Leo P. Gallagher Funeral Home, located at 2900 Summer Street, Stamford, Connecticut. Calling hours are from 2-4pm and 5-7pm. A funeral service will be held at St. Leo's Parish, 24 Roxbury Road, Stamford, Connecticut, on Tuesday, January 21st at 11 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to organizations supporting addiction recovery in honor of Bill’s legacy of hope and healing. (options include but are not limited to: Faces & Voices of Recovery, Shatterproof, & Drug Awareness Foundation)
He will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those whose lives he touched. May his memory be a blessing to us all.
