The Weathers family is very special to me.  John Lewis gave me my first job at John's Pharmacy.  I remember how gracious Adalia always was when she visited the drug store with the children.  I can still envision Lewis in his baseball uniform, little Steven's red hair, and pretty little Edie.  When I moved onto Weathers Drive as an adult, Adalia welcomed me to the street with a gift of trivets which I still use.  I taught Lewis and Edie at East Gaston High School and went joy riding with Lewis in the Jeep he rebuilt over what was then the vacant lot where the Nixons built their home. My love for the Weathers family is deep like my Stanley roots.
You can take great comfort in the pride that Adalia had in all of you.  She spoke of her grandchildren with great joy and I know that you will all continue to do things that would make her proud in the future.  I cannot be with you at this time, but you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

We will miss Aunt Adalia! We will always remember her kindness, generosity, and hospitality toward everyone. We are praying for you. With love, Bob, Kim, and Kaitlyn Weathers
