Bernice Sue O'Rourke

battle with Alzheimer’s.

Bernice was born in Harlan, KY on October 5, 1939, and was a

graduate of Evarts High School in 1957.

Throughout her life she worked in various positions and in several states. Her biggest role

was being Grandma to 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Bernice was an avid

quilter and enjoyed presenting family and friends with their own special quilt. She will be

greatly missed by her children Karen (Bruce) Uhley, Kathy (Patrick) Towne, Steven (Virgina)

Taylor, Thomas (Heather) Taylor and Patricia Taylor. She is also Survived by 3 sisters Inis

Canady, Vicky Lindsay and Casey Pugh, and one brother John O’Rourke.

Proceeding her in death are her parents James Thomas and Velma O’Rourke, and sisters

Mary Daphne O’Rourke, Patricia Wallace and Tommie Somers and grandson Justin Rogers.

The Family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
