Betty Hoover Huitt

Betty Ann Hoover Huitt, 86, of Mt Holly, NC, passed away January 28, 2014 at Royal Oaks in Matthews, NC. Betty was a native of Gaston County. She was the daughter of Marvin and Annie Hoover. Betty was a member of Hickory Grave Baptist Church of Gastonia. Betty is loved and cherished by her family.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband of 41 years Guilford E Huitt, and her sons Stephen Thomas Huitt and Michael Timothy Huitt.

She is survived by her children; Danny (Maryann) Huitt of Boone, NC, Teresa (Barry) Triplett of Georgetown, SC, Lydia (Gerald) Vaughn of Charlotte, NC, Angela Marie (Larry Israel) of Santa Cruz, CA; Her grandchildren Tiffany (Bill) Brent, Deborah Huitt, Stephen (Cindy) Triplett, Jennifer (Matthew) Thompson, Jeffery Ferguson, Emerson Huitt, , Johnathan(Liza) Vaughn, and Timothy Ferguson; Her two great-grand children Sarah Brent and Izabella Vaughn.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Carothers Funeral Home Chapel in Stanley.

Burial will be at a later date.
