Catherine Lavania Walters

She was a native of Gaston County and the daughter of the late Carl Alexander and Mary Elizabeth Smith Noles.

Mrs. Walters was a former employee of Pharr Yarns and an avid gardener.

She is survived by three children; Judy Walters Hester and husband Wes of Stanley, Catherine Walters Crosby and husband Dennis E. of Iron Station, Joseph Anthony Walters of York, SC,

One brother; Bill Noles and wife Annette of Stanley, two sisters Martha Watts and husband L.B. of Belmont, Toni Earle of Lowell, ten grandchildren; Mark, Julie, Spanky, Jennifer, Matthew, Melanie, Amy, Crystal, Jessica, Katlyn, thirteen great grandchildren; Tiffany, Justin, Brooke, Luke, Colby, Payton, Garren, Riley, Lauren, Jordan, Cameron and Layla.

Mrs. Walters was preceded in death by her parents; husband Roland Vivon Walters, a son; Roland Larry Walters, two brothers; Elbert and Andrew Noles, two sisters Marie Sitton and Frances Rachel Knoles, and a special Aunt Lucy Lowe.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Carothers Funeral Home in Stanley with Bishop Robert Gettins officiating.

Burial will follow at Hillcrest Gardens in Mt. Holly.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Friday at Carothers Funeral Home in Stanley.
