“A kind-hearted, humorous, and irreplaceable father, husband and grandfather.”

David Lee McGinnis, 69, peacefully returned home to the Lord Friday June 12, 2020. David was man of great humor and could be heard singing around the house. He was known for singing Christmas carols year round. He had numerous hobbies- hunting, fishing, and yardwork to name a few. His wife was so lucky to have such a kind-hearted husband. David is the son of the late Winnifred Ashcraft and French McGinnis. He is also proceeded in death by his sister Betty Karlen and his brother Wilbur McGinnis.

Those left behind to cherish their memories of David include his wife Linda (Smith) McGinnis and their two children, daughter, Davette McGinnis of Iron Station and son, David McGinnis and wife Susan of Iron Station. Grieving the loss of their Grandpa are his three grandchildren, Jessica McGinnis, Austin McGinnis, and Jacob McGinnis. Also left behind are his two sisters, Sandra Morris of Clarksburg WV and Margaret Taylor of Canton OH, his brother, Carl McGinnis and wife Connie of Parkersburg WV, his sister-in-law Lucinda McGinnis and his best friend Howard. Dear Linda, Davette and Austin,
My heart hurts for you. I love you all and I'm praying God blesses you with the warmth and peace of His love for you! Hold on to the good memories, smile when the tears fall because they remind you of the love Dave had for all of you, and lean on friends who understand the empty space that can't be filled.
Love Diane
