Gary Von Ottinger Sr.

He was preceded in death by parents, Thomas & Lena Ottinger;

brothers, Ed & Dub Ottinger; sisters, JoAnn Crisp & Eula Mae Nantz.

He is survived by wife, Kay Ottinger; sons, Gary (Andrea) Ottinger Jr. & Gabe(Pam) Ottinger; step-daughter, Karen (Bob) Kearns; brother, Roy Ottinger; grandchildren, Cathy (Stephen) Wright, Crystal (Alex) Woodward, Roman & Abby Ottinger, Caroline, Megan, & Thatcher Kearns; great-grandchildren, Alaina & Ava Wright and Taylor Woodward.

A funeral service will be held at 7 pm Saturday at Carothers Funeral Home Chapel in Stanley.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart

Association, 222 S Church St., Charlotte, NC 28202.
