I miss the holiday visits we had when we'd drive up from Goldsboro North Carolina to Asheville and we'd stay mamaw and papaw aunt Elsa and my cousins Donna and Scott and Candy . Aunt Elsa was always so fun to  be around we had so many crazy times together. Life was wonderful in those days I miss all of them dearly.

This has been the hardest thing for me to write, it's taken almost a year for me to be able to, I miss you everyday and it's been a struggle not being able to come see you or call you when I need you. I know you are here with me everyday because I see the signs you give me. You will always be on my mind everyday. I love and miss you more then anything. Thank you for being the mom I never had.

Ilsa ,we talked on the phone every once in a while.I will miss those calls now.I am so happy That the family got to see you and your family at our Scarberry Family Reunion a couple years ago.I think we were almost twins as we were the same age just 7 days apart. Our-family’s were always close all us kids were the best friends.So cousin RIP I love you.so sorry for your family’s loss

Sis, You will be dearly missed by me and the whole family. I will always cherish the childhood memories we shared back in Superior West Virginia. I wish we could have visited you more through the last 12 years. I know in my heart you walk with the lord.Give my love to Mom,Dad and Harold until we meet again. Love, your brother, Gary

Awww the memories that we both shared as sister in laws for nearly 55 years. I will miss Ilsa terribly even though we only shared telephone calls for nearly 20 years that she was gone from Asheville. We had our ups and downs through the years for sure but even so we loved each other like real sisters.The last time we talked she was feeling like her time was coming to the end and that she was ready to go home.I am so happy she went peacefully in her sleep as we both agreed would be our choice in the end.She walks with Jesus and gathers with all the family that was there to meet her..I will always love and cherish our memories we shared and pray that we meet up there one day.
