S/Sgt. Jason Lee Branch, 30, passed away on May 7, 2013 at Ft. Stewart, Georgia. He was born in Gaston County and is the son of Franklin Eugene Branch and the late Donna Ann Hallman Branch.

S/Sgt. Branch attended North Gaston High School and received his G.E.D. from Gaston College and then joined the U. S. Army. He served tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.

He is survived by two sons, Joshua Franklin Lee Branch and Nolan Eugene Branch of Dallas; father, Franklin Eugene Branch of Dallas; one sister, Frankie Lindann Branch of Dallas; one brother, Michael Gene Hallman of Belmont.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 15 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Carothers Funeral Home in Stanley. Graveside Services will follow immediately at 2:30 p.m. with Full Military Honors provided by the U. S. Army, Patriot Guard and Gaston County Honor Guard at Hillcrest Gardens, Mt. Holly with an Army Chaplain officiating.
