Jodie Murray

Jodie graduated from Gaston Community College with an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Development and went on to teach after school programs. In her free time, Jodie enjoyed creative writing and crafting.

Jodie is preceded in death by her parents, Ronnie and Patricia Mauney of Stanley, NC. Jodie is survived by her sister, Selena Henkel of Stanley, NC; daughters, Brandi Murray (Marty Houck) of Fleetwood, NC, Melissa Cruz (Marcelo Cruz) of Juarez, Mexico, and Krista Brunson (Jeremiah Brunson), of Dallas, NC; grandchildren, Shantell Murray, Tony Cruz, Cierra Livingston, Gabriela Cruz, Mateo Cruz, Sophia Cruz, Olivia Cruz, as well as nephews, Travis and Jason Henkel.

A visitation will take place at Carothers Funeral Home Stanley, 412 S Main Street, Stanley, NC, 28164 on Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm followed by a Celebration of Life at the same location at 3:00 pm.
