Karen Walker

Karen McKee Walker, 73, transitioned to her heavenly home on October 26, 2024 with her family by her side. Born on December 8, 1950 in Charlotte, NC, she devoted her life to creating a warm and nurturing home for her husband of 49 years, Micheal, and her daughter, Michelle. She also served as bookkeeper for Michael’s construction company for 30 years.

Karen’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family and serving her Lord and savior, Jesus Christ. Karen instilled her strong values and faith into her niece, daughter, and grandsons. She was a safe haven of unwavering love, prayer and support not only for her family, but for countless others in need. She will be missed beyond words by all who knew her.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Lou Dean and Frances McKee; her brothers, Buddy and Sonny McKee; and her sister, Beverly Roberson.

She is survived by her husband, Michael; her daughter, Michelle Flowers; her son-in-law, Marshall Flowers, Jr.; three grandsons, Marshall Flowers III, Micheal Flowers, and Mark Flowers; her niece, Deborah Snipes; her nephew-in-law, Jimmy Blakemore Sr; and her great nephew, Jimmy Blakemore Jr.

A memorial service for Karen will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 10:00 am at Revival Tabernacle, 212 S Hwy 27, Stanley, NC 28164.
