Larry is survived by his daughter, Lauren Smith, son-in-law Dustin Smith, and his beloved dog, Earl. He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Shives; his father, Bobby Shives; and his brothers, Barry Shives, Billy Johnson, and Tom Johnson.
Larry was a longtime, dedicated employee of Century Building Supplies in Gastonia, North Carolina. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, drinking Diet Pepsi, and listening to classic rock.
