Priscilla Marie Bennett Revels, born March 3, 1943, passed away surrounded by love. Affectionately known to her family as “Pris” and lovingly called “Honey”, she lived a life defined by devotion to family, gracious hospitality, and quiet elegance.
A resident of Huntsville Alabama, Charlotte, Davidson and Stanley North Carolina, Pris also cherished her time at her residence in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She was the beloved wife of Wayne Revels and the eldest daughter of John and Lottie Bennett.
Pris was a cherished mother to Jeff (wife Kelly), Justin (wife Kelly), and Brandon (wife Alicia) and a loving mother to baby Ashley, who preceded her in death. She was “Honey” to her adored grandchildren—Lindsey Revels Fernald (husband Michael Fernald), Hillary Revels, Matt Teague (wife Karmen Teague), Jacob Revels, Kamryn Revels, Greyson Revels, and Zac Revels — and took immense pride in being a great-grandmother to McLain Fernald, Kivett Fernald, Wright Fernald and Myles Teague.
She was the first of six sisters and the devoted sister of Pamela Bennett (deceased), Teresa Sorrentino, Kathy Sadoff, Jennifer Borja, and Meredith Bennett. She was dearly loved by her many nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
Pris enjoyed a successful career with IBM, Kemper Open Golf Tournament at Quail Hollow Country Club and HDR Engineering, where she worked until her retirement. In her later years, she found great happiness at the beach, always surrounded by her loving husband and family, with her favorite beach music filling the air.
An avid gardener and devoted animal lover, Pris was a friend to every bird that crossed her path. She was a passionate sports fan and a lifelong supporter of NC State Wolfpack, proudly holding season tickets for many years.
Pris was the embodiment of true Southern hospitality—warm, engaging, honest, and beautiful both inside and out. There was always a seat at her table, whether you were family or not, and the food was always the best you had ever tasted. She inspired everyone she knew with her natural talent for interior design, gardening, cooking, fashion, and her unmistakable sense of style and grace. She could stay up all night playing cards and talking, then wake early to plan a beautiful event or hand-sew a christening gown for one of her grandchildren.
Her happiest moments were spent surrounded by her family. Pris will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
The family will share more information regarding a celebration of life at a later date.
