Robert "Bob" Carrigan

Bob was a faithful servant to the Lord and a humble man who loved his family. He worked several years with Perfection Spinning and later with Stowe Mills. He enjoyed playing softball with the local textile league and church league.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in passing by his wife of 54 years, Dean Black Carrigan and brothers, Gary Carrigan and Jim Carrigan.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Gwen Bumgardner; son, Bobby Carrigan; grandchildren, Chris Bumgardner, Garrett Carrigan and wife Kelly, Taylor Carrigan; sister, Ann Robinson; numerous nieces and nephews and close family friends, Patsy and Lamarr Hovis.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at Carothers Funeral Home Stanley. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery.

The family requests that memorial contributions be sent to Unity Baptist Church in Belmont, NC.
