Sue Rudisill Lutz

Sue Rudisill Lutz, 83, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 after a brief illness. She was born April 16, 1931 in Lincoln County to the late Carl and Connie (Sigmon) Rudisill. Sue has been a devoted homemaker and loving wife and mother to her family. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Stanley and active in the church choir and was a member of the women’s auxiliary and known for being a fabulous cook.

Sue is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Claude Lutz of Stanley; three children, Gary Lutz and wife Donna of Gastonia, Pam Barfield and husband Grover of Mt. Holly, Eric Lutz and wife Pam of McAdenville; nine grandchildren, Keith Lutz and wife Shannon, Krystal Lutz, Peter Lutz and wife Alicia, Zachary Barfield and wife Erin, Lindsay Barfield, Jon Barfield, Carly Edge and husband Cody, Connie Lutz and Esther Smith; four great-grandchildren, Branden, Kenadie, Carter, Cayleigh and Cameron; sister, Martha Bamberg of Danville, VA.

A celebration of Sue’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 5th at First United Methodist Church in Stanley. Pastor Noel Sweezy will preside.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
