In 1971, Alvin migrated to the United States United States, ultimately making a loving home with his wife, Violet. Despite not having a formal education, Alvin was a shining testament to hard work and resilience.
His journey in America initially saw him undertaking various jobs to support his family, including taxi driving and bricklaying, a skill he inherited from his father.
