
Amalia Molly Moschella, 102 years young, longterm Staten Island resident, having lived in Rosebank and Dongan Hills Colony and recently living in New Jersey, passed away on May 3, 2016, surrounded by loving family. Born in Messina, Sicily, she immigrated with her family to the U.S. in 1928. Amalia was a skilled seamstress, having worked in Manhattan and Staten Island during her career and also making apparel for family and friends. She was a lifelong member of Olivet Presbyterian Church where she belonged to the Senior Citizens group, Bible Study group and served as an elder and deacon. She also was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. Amalia was predeceased by her husband, Frank, and daughter, Tina Bellico. She is survived by a daughter, Gilda Chiapperino of Morristown, N.J., and son, Frank Moschella of Monroe Township, N.J., along with their spouses, Dominic and Trinidad; a son-in-law, Louis Bellico; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
