Andree Charles

In 1951, she married Robespierre Charles who passed away in 1996 after 44 years of marriage. She was a devoted, loving, and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. After spending many years traveling between Haiti and Africa, where her husband worked for 20 years, she settled in New York in 1975.

Andree Charles is survived by her six children, Mireille Ceant, Magalie Bargeron, Paul Erick Charles, Joelle Jasmin, Barbara Pyronneau and Martine Cator. Also surviving, her daughter-in-law Maxine Charles; sons-in-law Elisee Pyronneau, Bernadin Cator, Jean Alix Ceant, and Elsworth Bargeron; nine grand children Danielle, Genene, Bernard and his wife Tal, Alexander, Jeannette, Elijah, Jonathan, Joshua and Gabrielle; three great grandchildren Gavin, Juliette and Louis; sister Mrs. Marie Colbert; brothers Mr. Jean Lafontant and Mr. Antoine Lafontant; sister-in-law Ms. Marie-Claire Charles; aunt Mrs. Odette Nicholas and countless nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved friends.

Andree was a compassionate woman who never missed an opportunity to help someone in need. She will surely be missed.

The family of Andree Charles would like to thank all family and friends for helping us celebrate her life. She was loved by everyone that knew her and we take comfort in that she is now with her beloved husband and mother.
