

Andrew John Martucci, known as “Andy” was the beloved husband of Theresa Martucci (formerly Trapani) for fifty-two years; they were High School sweethearts. He is survived by his daughter Mary Anne Martucci, granddaughter Stephanie Anne Langeland, and brother Michael Martucci. He was also a beloved uncle, brother-in-law, cousin, and friend.
He was born in New York City’s Little Italy on January 8th, 1938 and went to P.S. 130 Elementary School and Commerce High School.
He was inducted into the United States Army on July 13th, 1956 and honorably discharged on October 12th, 1957. He was stationed in South Korea after the Korean War during peace time.
After the army, he became engaged and married Theresa Trapani on February 8th, 1959.
Andy had a diverse career as a truck driver, auto assembly worker, plumber, and steam fitter. He was very mechanically inclined.
He lived in Manhattan until 2012 when he moved to Staten Island to be close to his daughter and granddaughter. He was a devoted family man.
Andy passed away due to respiratory failure and pneumonia related to lung cancer treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NYC on January 16th, 2017. He was 79 years of age.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 28th, at 10:00 AM, at Saint Sylvester’s Roman Catholic Church located at 854 Targee Street, Staten Island, NY 10304.
