

Born Angelina Pecoraro in the Little Italy section of Manhattan, she moved to her family farm in the mountain town of Villa Frati, Sicily at the beginning of the Great Depression. After the end of World War II, she and her family moved back to the United States and settled in Brooklyn. She moved to Willowbrook in 1967 and had recently settled in Westerleigh.
Throughout most of her life, Mrs. Visalli worked as a seamstress. Her extraordinary sewing skills made her an expert at fine embroidery, creating children’s Halloween costumes, men suits and women’s gowns. Mrs. Visalli enjoyed spending time with her family, and caring for her grandchildren.
She was a parishioner of Holy Family R.C. Church, Westerleigh.
Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Anthony; three daughters, Grace Visalli, Marie Diglio and Rose Christofilakes; a brother, Frank; two sisters, Francis Cali and Gina Visalli, and five grandchildren.
The funeral will be Thursday from the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners, with a mass at 10 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church, West Brighton. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains.
