STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - Ann Langere Dunkerley, 94, a retired college administrative assistant and a world traveler with a large social circle, died Friday in Richmond University Medical Center, West Brighton.
She was born Ann Campana in Manhattan's Little Italy, and brought as a child to New Brighton, where she grew up. She moved to Rosebank as a young bride and lived there for about 50 years. She then relocated to Flagler Beach, Fla., but returned to the Island five years ago, moving to Castleton Corners.

When her children attended PS 13, she was active in the PTA and served as a school crossing guard for five years.
"She was very caring and loving," said her daughter, Marilyn Ulrich. "She was sociable and good with people, and always had a large circle of friends. She adored all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, which made her later years very happy."
Mrs. Langere Dunkerley loved to cook Sunday family dinners, and was famous for her homemade ravioli, sauce, and pasta made from scratch. She enjoyed traveling, and had visited Hawaii, China, the Caribbean, and countries throughout Europe.
Crocheting was a favorite hobby, and when she lived in Florida she was a member of the West Palm Beach Yacht Club.
Mrs. Langere Dunkerley was a longtime parishioner of St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Rosebank.
Her first husband of 49 years, Frank Langere, died in 1987. Her second husband of 10 years, James Dunkerley, died in 2000.
Surviving, in addition to her daughter, Marilyn, are her son, Ronald Langere; two sisters, Gloria Cortopassi and Claire Chinnici; six grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Monday from the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners, with a mass at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church. Arrangements include cremation.
