Anna attended Grover Cleveland High School in Queens and spent much of her life in New York before settling in Clark, NJ. She was employed for many years at Con Edison, where she built a fulfilling career and lasting friendships. She was a longtime member of the Elks Club, where she enjoyed spending time with friends.
Anna loved to travel. She took a cross-country road trip in her younger years and enjoyed bringing her nieces and nephews on special vacations to places like Disney World, creating memories they still cherish.
Anna had a deep love for classic cars, especially her prized 1967 Chevy, which she fully restored and proudly brought to local car shows. She won multiple trophies over the years, and the car remained one of her greatest joys.
Anna was a passionate animal lover. Over the years, she cared for many pets and supported numerous animal organizations close to her heart. Her cat, Smokey, was a cherished companion.
Anna was also a devoted New York Mets fan. She never missed a game and cheered them on through every high and low. Her love for the Mets was matched only by her love for her family and friends.
Anna cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. Visits from loved ones were the highlight of her days. She would say her happiest memories were made at backyard barbecues, holidays, and family gatherings, which were always filled with laughter and love - and a case of Budweiser. In her later years, she attended weekly rehab sessions at RWJ University Hospital Rahway, where she formed close friendships that brought her joy. Her presence was a constant, and her warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Anna is survived by her niece Kathleen Davidson (née Dietrich), nephews Eric Dietrich (Christine) and Michael Dietrich (Jacqui), and her great-nieces Tara Depaz (Wilson), Kelly Rosen (Zachary), and Kaitlyn Witchley (Tyler). She also leaves behind seven beloved great-great nephews and nieces: Mateo, Brooklyn, Elijah, Melody, Ava, Lily, and Lucy.
She was predeceased by her parents, Ernest Dietrich and Katherine (née Schick) Dietrich, and her brother Ernest Dietrich.
In the spirit of Anna’s generosity and her lifelong love for animals, the family kindly asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her memory to Staten Island Hope Animal Rescue via Zelle at: [email protected].
