Anna Greco

Anna Marie Greco, 91, died Wednesday December 18, 2019 peacefully at home surrounded by her husband and children. Anna was born October 13, 1928, in Sicily, Italy. Daughter of Anthony and Sigismonda Bruschetta. In 1946 she and her family migrated to America. She married Michael Greco on June 23, 1956 in Brooklyn, New York before moving to Great Kills, Staten Island, NY in 1965 with their two sons, Andrew and Anthony.

Anna was a long time resident of Great Kills and a continued parishioner of St. Clare’s Church for over 50 years. She spent many years working at Monsignor Farrell High School in Staten Island, NY. She was a long time seamstress and crocheter, as her early life was spent working as a seamstress in clothing factories. Anna is long remembered for her delicious Italian food and desserts and the loving heart she always had.

Anna is survived by her husband Michael of 63 years, son Andrew and daughter-in-law Camille, two granddaughters Danielle and Michelle, and a “grandson” Jacob through marriage. She was preceded in death by her son Anthony, her sister Jenny, her brother Frank, her great-granddaughter Jade and her parents, Anthony and Sigismonda.
