

She was born and raised Anne Bacolo in Brooklyn. Mrs. Dene lived in the Breezy Point section of Queens before settling in Midland Beach's Island Shores in 2008.
Primarily a homemaker, she also worked as a bookkeeper at Decor by Dene, a family-owned business in Brooklyn.
She was all about family and loved spending time with her loved ones. She also enjoyed baking, playing bingo and visiting Atlantic City.
Mrs. Dene was devout in her faith and worshiped at St. Thomas More R.C. Church, Breezy Point.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent, in 2003, and by her daughter, Jean Anne Sammartano, in 2013.
She is survived by her sons, Michael and Maurice; eight grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Saturday from the Casey McCallum-Rice South Shore Funeral Home, with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Clare's R.C. Church, both in Great Kills. Entombment will be in Moravian Cemetery, New Dorp.
