

Born and raised in Muro Lucano, Italy. He immigrated to Brooklyn in 1958 when he was 18 years old. He moved to Arrochar in 1995 and settled in St. George in 2007.
Mr. Lanzi was a co-owner of Lanzi Brothers Island Works in Brooklyn, working alongside his brother, Dominick for 40 years. He retired in 1999.
"Dad was a gifted craftsman who loved working with his hands. Through all the rough times he never forgot to laugh. He loved nothing more than sharing a big meal surrounded by his kids and grandchildren. He was a wonderful father and friend. He will be missed by all," said his family.
In addition to his brother, Dominick, surviving are his wife of 47 years, the former Olivia Clare; his two sons, Michael and Anthony; three daughters, Antonia, Lisa and Anna Lanzi; a brother, Mario; four sisters, Geraldina Coca, Antonetta Folino, Rose Porzio and Anna Flood and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be on Monday from the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners, with a mass at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Rosary R.C. Church, South Beach. Burial will follow in Moravian Cemetery, New Dorp.
