

Born and raised in Rosebank, he attended Curtis High School and moved to Castleton Corners in 1986. He moved to Queens in the early 1990s and settled in Bulls Head in 2005.
He worked for Walbaum’s in Queens for 30 years, starting as a butcher and eventually rising to the rank of store meat manager.
In his leisure time, Mr. Marotte enjoyed listening to classic rock and roll music, especially the Allman Brothers Band. He enjoyed reading and collecting comic books. But above all, he enjoyed spending time with his two daughters.
“He was a very loving and sweet person. He cared very deeply for his family and friends. He was very close with brother-in-law Anton,” said his sister, Karen Virgintino.
In addition to his sister, Karen, surviving are his wife, the former Michelle Lichota; two daughters, Megan and Melissa Marotte; a stepson Frederick Lichota, and his parents, Anna F. Levendosky and Anthony J. Marotte Sr.
The funeral will be tomorrow at 8 p.m. in the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners. Cremation will follow in the Rosehill Crematory, Linden, N.J.
