

Anthony “Mambo King” Rivera was born in New York, New York, on April 16th, 1956. He was born to proud parents, America Roman and Regalado Rivera. Anthony was a devoted husband to Barbara and a proud father to Jason, Samantha, Destiny, and Crystal. He was a proud grandfather to Katelyn and a beloved brother to Lucy, Orlando, and David. He always held his family close to his heart. Anthony dedicated several years of his career to Maimonides Hospital and later served with honor for 20 years at Rikers Island as part of the Department of Corrections. We recognize Anthony for his bravery and service during 9/11. Known for his vibrant personality, Anthony was the life of every gathering. His love for storytelling, dancing, and making others laugh was unmatched. Fiercely protective and endlessly loving, he cherishes his family and friends with all his heart. Anthony’s legacy of laughter, warmth, and unwavering devotion to those he loved will live on in the hearts of all those who knew him. Family and friends will continue to celebrate the life of the Mambo King remembering his stories, dance moves, and his endless love.
A visitation will be held at Casey-McCallum Rice Funeral Home, located at 30 Nelson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10308, on March 27, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
The committal service will take place at Moravian Cemetery, 2205 Richmond Rd, Staten Island, NY 10306, on March 28, 2025, starting at 12:00 pm.
