

Antoinette was born in lower Manhattan on Columbus Day October 12th,1936, she was a proud Italian, and moved to Brooklyn as a young girl where she grew up and went to school to become a hairdresser, got married, and raised her family, after the death of her husband in 1996 she moved and retired from the Insurance business to Staten Island NY to be close to her children. Known for her creations of beautiful blankets and sweaters, Antoinette was a prolific crochetiere who loved to make things for her family. She enjoyed going to the senior center and made many friends there, and at her condo complex.
Antoinette Caputo, loving wife to James Caputo ( predeceased ). Loving Mother of two sons Vincent Caputo ( predeceased ), survived by Salvatore Caputo. Mother-in-law to Linda & Tricia Caputo. Very proud Grandmother to 8 Grandchildren, James Caputo and his wife Cheryl, Joseph Caputo and his wife Katie, Salvatore Caputo, Anthony Caputo, Stephanie Loria and her husband Chris, Taylor Caputo, Tyler Caputo & Tori Caputo. Adoring Great Grandmother to 5 Great Grandchildren, Joey, Jace, Valerie, Vince, and Santino. Survived by her Sister Gussie, and Sister in law to Phil, Antoinette, Joe, Tony, and Henrietta ( departed ). Proud Aunt to 9 Nieces & Nephews, Joseph, Michael, Angela, Vincent, Michael, Anthony, Francine, Michael, and Lisa.
A visitation for Antoinette will be held Wednesday, February 22, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Casey McCallum Rice South Shore Funeral Home, 30 Nelson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10308. A funeral service will occur Thursday, February 23, 2023, at 9:45 AM at St. Clare Church, 110 Nelson Ave, Staten Island, NY 10308. A committal service will occur Thursday, February 23, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Resurrection Cemetery, 361 Sharrott Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10309.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Antoinette's memory may be made to the Dementia Society of America.
