

Born Antonia Rizzi in Mola di Bari, Italy, she immigrated to the United States in 1971, moving to Brooklyn. She settled in Eltingville in 1974.
Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Cristino also had worked as a seamstress and was a member of the former International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union.
She delighted in time spent with her family and especially loved going with them to the family home on Long Beach Island.
Mrs. Cristino enjoyed baking and cooking, and was an exceptional cook, her family said.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Leonardo; her son, Marco; her daughters, Rita Demetrio, Angela DiDonna, Chiara Rizzo, Tonietta Troiano, Christina Puglisi and Maria Cristino; 16 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Friday from the Casey McCallum Rice South Shore Funeral Home, Great Kills, with a mass at 11 a.m. in Holy Child R.C. Church, Eltingville. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains.
