Born and raised Antonina Favuzza in Villabate, Sicily, she immigrated to the United States in 1957, moving to Brooklyn. She relocated to Rossville in 2010.
Primarily a homemaker, she had worked as a seamstress and also as a lunch aide at Fort Hamilton High School.
She was a member of the Villabate Club and Sons of Raguzza in Brooklyn.
An excellent cook, she was known for her Veal Spiedini and other Sicilian dishes. She enjoyed socializing at her husband's barber shop in Brooklyn.
Rosario, her husband of 46 years, died in 2007.
She is survived by her son, Giuseppe; her daughter, Maria Deja, and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be Saturday from the Casey McCallum-Rice South Shore Funeral Home, with a Mass at 9:45 a.m. in St. Clare's R.C. Church, both in Great Kills. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains.
