She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and
neighbor. She is survived by her sons, Charles and Jack, grandchildren Jacqueline
and Cameron and six siblings. Mrs Frisch was born in Staten Island and settled in Castleton Corners
with her late husband Ernest in 1967. The oldest daughter of Charles and Ruth Liedy, owners of Liedy's Shore
Inn, she was one of 8 children. Audrey helped her mother raise her
younger siblings which instilled a close endearing mother-like bond with
all them throughout her life.
Mrs Frisch attended New Dorp High School. Following graduation in 1954
she worked for an insurance company in Manhattan for 4 years. She
married Ernest George Frisch in June 1959. Along with her late husband, Audrey enjoyed an association with St.
Peter’s Boy High School for over 35 years. While her sons were in
school, she was an active member of the Parents Club and was the
seamstress of costumes for the schools annual plays and musicals. She
was also a full-time staff member and moderator of the school’s
bookstore from the late 1980s until he retirement in late 1990’s.
Audrey enjoyed family vacations to such places as Cape Cod, Hawaii and
Paradise Island in the Bahamas and spending time with her children and
grandchildren. She enjoyed having friends and family over for tea on a
weekly basis. She excelled and took pride in a life long passion for
gardening and enjoyed an annual tradition of shopping for plants on
Mother’s Day at Dearborn Farms in New Jersey with her husband and later
with her son Jack.
Her style, grace, love and moral compass will be sorely missed.
