

Born Barbara K. Leach, she was a lifelong Castleton Corners resident and graduated from Curtis High School.
Also a homemaker, she worked as a teller at Chase Manhattan Bank's branch in Port Richmond, and later as a bookkeeper at the bank's Tottenville branch.
She loved cooking and taking care of her family.
Mrs. Sullivan especially enjoyed a cruise to Bermuda which her husband, Charles, organized for members of the FDNY.
She also was fond of reading, solving crossword puzzles and watching television.
A wonderful woman who was always willing to help others, she was constantly laughing and joking, and kept everyone in stitches, family said. She was loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed, they added.
Mrs. Sullivan was a parishioner of St. Teresa's R.C. Church, Castleton Corners.
Surviving, along with Charles, her husband of 56 years, are her son, Thomas; her daughter, Thyra Damato; her brother, William Leach, and five grandchildren.
The funeral service will be Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners. Arrangements include cremation.
