

Loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother
Bona De Falco of Dongan Hills passed peacefully in her sleep at Staten Island University Hospital North Saturday morning.
Bona was born in Staten Island to Vincenzo and Angela Soro. "She lived up to the Italian meaning of her given name; she was a good person with a heart of gold." She married Joseph De Falco in 1939 and spent many years as a finisher in dress shops.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband, her brothers, Vincent and Anthony, and sister, Carmen.
She is survived by her four daughters, Ellie Salemmo (late Roch), Dolores Cangiolose (late Sal), Joann De Falco (Elmo) and Annamarie D'Esposito (Sal), her sister Lucy Donnantuono and her brother Joseph Soro. She was the proud grandmother of eight and great-grandmother of nine.
Funeral is from Virginia Funeral Chapel, 1707 Hylan Blvd., Dongan Hills. Funeral Mass is Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Ann R.C. Church. Interment is in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
