

Born in Vicenza, Italy, he moved to the U.S. in 1967. He lived in the Bronx and Brooklyn before settling in Staten Island in 1970.
Mr. Zanchetta was a self-employed auto mechanic throughout his life. He also owned a liquor store in Brooklyn.
He retired at the age of 60.
Mr. Zanchetta was a member of the Italian-American Association of Brooklyn.
In his leisure time, he liked to garden and watch soccer.
He also loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He attended Holy Rosary R.C. Church, Rosebank.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, the former Diana Carfi; three daughters, Maria Luisa Gulisano, Daniella Bennett and Patricia McGlynn; a sister, Palmiera Cenci, and five grandchildren.
The funeral will be Tuesday from the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners, with a mass at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Rosary R.C. Church, Rosebank. Burial will be in Moravian Cemetery, New Dorp.
