

Born in the Bronx, New York, Camille devoted her life to caring for others. A graduate of St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing in Brooklyn, she began her nursing career in 1953 and went on to serve with compassion and dedication at St. Vincent’s Hospital and Staten Island Hospital. She later retired from the Swedish Home for the Aged, where she was a beloved Registered Nurse.
A longtime parishioner of St. Teresa’s Church on Staten Island from 1941 until 2013, Camille’s faith was central to her life. She had a generous spirit and a kind heart, always extending herself to family, friends, and those in need.
Camille enjoyed traveling and gardening, finding joy in the beauty of the world around her. She was also a devoted animal lover who rescued and cared for many dogs and cats throughout her life.
In 2013, Camille moved to the Charlestown Retirement Community in Catonsville, Maryland, where she continued to live a life of warmth and kindness.
She is survived by her niece, Cassandra Snyder, and her sister-in-law, Pamela Snyder. She was predeceased by her brother, Frederick Snyder, and her niece, Rebecca Snyder.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at Casey Funeral Home, 350 Slosson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10314. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:45 a.m. at St. Teresa of the Infant Jesus Roman Catholic Church, 1634 Victory Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10314. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Flowers are welcome, or memorial donations may be made to an animal rescue organization of your choice in Camille’s memory.
