

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Carmella "Millie" Bosco, 88, of Great Kills, a retired clerk and expert cook, died Thursday in Staten Island University Hospital, Ocean Breeze.
Born Carmella Campo in Manhattan, she moved to the Bronx in 1952 and settled in Great Kills in 1968.
Mrs. Bosco worked in sales at the former Korvette's and K-Mart department stores in New Springville. She then worked as a clerk for the former Kidder Peabody brokerage firm in Manhattan.
"She was a great cook and a real people person," her family said. She also enjoyed playing bingo, visiting Atlantic City and playing cards.
Mrs. Bosco's husband of 53 years, Joseph Bosco, died in 2006.
She is survived by her son, Joseph; a daughter, Dale Bosco; two brothers, John and Thomas, and a sister, Mary Adcock.
The funeral will be Monday from the Casey McCallum Rice South Shore Funeral Home, with a mass at 9:45 a.m. in St. Clare's R.C. Church, both Great Kills. Arrangements include cremation.
