STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Carmine G. Arcolio, 91, of Great Kills, a retired sewer worker for the city Department of Environmental Protection, died Tuesday in the Eger Health Care and Rehabilitation Center, Egbertville, where he had been a resident for the past six months.

Born in Manhattan, he graduated from Lafayette High School in Brooklyn and moved to Rosebank in 1945. He later settled in Great Kills.

Mr. Arcolio was a parishioner of St. Clare’s R.C. Church, Great Kills.

“We will always remember him as a loving father,” said his son, Joseph.

His wife of 47 years, the former Marie Manzione, died in 1991.
