After Robert retired from Con Edison, he and Carol enjoyed traveling the United States, and saw all but five of the 50 states.
Carol adored her two granddaughters; she and Robert took them sightseeing and touring all over Manhattan. The granddaughters loved to vacation at grandma's house. She was very proud of both granddaughters, with Erica becoming a physician's assistant and Shannon Dallas studying to become a high school math teacher.
In June 2015 she was overjoyed to attend the marriage of her granddaughter, Erica Dallas to Mr. Paul Merces.
