Casilda E. Giuliani passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 25th, in Staten Island, surrounded by love. She was by the side of her devoted husband, Anthony of 51.5 years; her three cherished daughters, Casilda Marie Forte, Claudia Parrelli, and Marietta Giuliani; and her beloved sister, Josephine Lopez.
Casilda was born on May 16, 1950 and was the proud daughter of Benjamin and Margaret Lopez. She grew up on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, where she developed the warmth, humor, and sparkle that would define her life. She earned her master’s degree in education from St. John’s University and began her career as an early childhood educator with the New York City Board of Education. After the birth of her children, Casilda dedicated herself fully to her family, becoming a loving homemaker and the heart of her home.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and mother in law to Danny Forte, and Pasquale Parrelli. Casilda found immense joy in her six grandchildren: Danny Jr., Valentina, Giuliana, Alessia, Milania, and Isabella, each of whom brought endless pride and happiness to her life.
Casilda had a love for all things sparkly—especially sequins—and she truly embodied that sparkle herself. She had a remarkable way of lighting up every room she entered with her smile, laughter, and quick wit. She treasured time spent with her daughters and grandchildren, enjoyed playing the piano, crocheting, and making jokes that left everyone laughing.
Casilda had a heart made of sequins and while she will be deeply missed, her light will continue to shine in the lives of all who knew her. We hope she now wears a glorious pair of angel wings to match the sparkle she brought into the world.
