

Arrangements under the direction of Casey McCallum Rice South Shore Funeral Home, Staten Island, NY.STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Catherine McNally, 96, of Huguenot, a retired secretary and caring aunt who was devoted to her family and her faith, died Friday in Clove Lakes Health Care and Rehabilitation Center, Castleton Corners.
Born and raised in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, she graduated from St. Nicholas Commercial High School in her native borough in 1934.
Miss McNally worked as a secretary for General Motors Corp. in several locations, but primarily in Manhattan. She retired in 1974.
She moved to Huguenot in 1980 and lived there until three months ago, when she entered the nursing home.
Remembered as a wonderful aunt, Miss McNally maintained a great interest in the lives of her 24 nephews and nieces and 46 grandnephews and nieces.
Her nephews, Sean and Neil Kenny, and her niece, Laura Barbarino, who live on the Island, helped them all keep in touch with her, family said.
Miss McNally was a longtime parishioner and a dedicated supporter of St. Cecilia R.C. Church in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. After moving to Huguenot, she attended Holy Child R.C. Church, Eltingville.
She is survived by her sister, Marie Malone.
The funeral will be Wednesday from the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners, with a mass at 11 a.m. in St. Cecilia's Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Queens
