

Known for her holiday baking and the afghans she made for family
Lifelong Staten Islander Catherine Pucciarelli, 85, died Saturday, April 16, 2016, at Clove Lakes Health & Rehabilitation Center in Castleton Corners.
Mrs. Pucciarelli attended McKee High School and worked as a phone operator, and later at the previous Staten Island Community College and at the former Manufacturers Hanover Trust Co. She retired in the mid 1990's.
Mrs. Pucciarelli enjoyed knitting and crocheting afghans for friends and family. She also enjoyed holiday baking.
She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Somma and her husband, John; granddaughter, Christina and son-in-law George; and two great-granddaughters, Ivette Nicole and Penelope Rose.
Her husband, Pasqualino, died in 2010, and grandson Charles Somma died in 1984 .
The funeral will be Tuesday from Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Church in Rosebank. Visiting hours are Monday at Casey Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
