Cecilia Gallo

Cecilia E. Gallo (nee Casale), 100, loving mother, beloved grandmother and cherished great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2023. The eldest of two siblings, Mrs. Gallo was born on Staten Island, New York in 1922. She graduated from Curtis High School in 1941. She married the late Joseph Gallo at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church on Staten Island in 1943, and resided on Staten Island for her entire life.

Mrs. Gallo was a homemaker, who greatly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a parishioner of St. Theresa's Parish. She was an avid reader, who enjoyed cooking, painting, gardening, going to the theater, playing Rummikubs; listening to Italian Music and feeding anyone who came through her door. She had a remarkable love of life.

Mrs. Gallo is predeceased by her husband Joseph, and her sister Josephine Frankovich. She is survived by her sons Gregory and Richard, her daughter-in-laws Karen and Kimberly, her five grandchildren, Gregory Jr. (Sandra), Vanessa (Robert), Jennifer, Philip and Christopher, and her six great-grandchildren, Amanda, Emily, Vincent, Cecilia, Robert and Grace.

A funeral service for Cecilia will be held Monday, August 14, 2023 at 9:30 AM at St. Teresa's Church, 1634 Victory Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10314. Following the funeral service will be a committal service at 11:00 AM at Fairview Cemetery, 1852 Victory Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10314.
