Born on August 15, 1946, in Brooklyn, New York, Charlie lived a life defined by hard work, loyalty, resilience, humor, and an unwavering devotion to his family. A proud Vietnam Army veteran, he was awarded the Purple Heart for his courageous service to his country.
Charlie was the beloved husband of the late Cheryl Maiorini, with whom he shared many happy years. Their marriage was the foundation of his life, a bond marked by deep devotion, partnership, and enduring love. Together they enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, especially watching General Hospital, sharing their nightly coffee and tea together, fine dining with family and friends, and spending time with the people they loved. Those quiet evenings became one of the many traditions that reflected the deep love and companionship they shared.
He was the cherished father of Lauren and Charles, and a proud father-in-law to Peter and Brittny. His greatest joy was being “Grandpa” to Giuliana Sofia, Sienna Cheryl, and Charles Richard, each of whom held a special place in his heart. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Cheryl, and his mother, Ann.
Charlie spent many years as a tractor-trailer driver for Porky Products and was known by family and friends as the best butcher in town. He took pride in doing every job well and had a remarkable knack for keeping everything meticulous and in perfect order.
Those who knew Charlie will never forget his unmistakable cackling laugh that could fill a room, or his colorful vocabulary—especially his well-known affection for the “F” word, which somehow always seemed to fit the occasion. His larger-than-life personality, quick wit, and sense of humor left an impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
He found happiness in enjoying a Grey Goose on the rocks, reading books and stories about the Mafia, and watching classic country westerns. The moments he treasured most, however, were those spent with the people he loved.
Charlie leaves behind a family who will forever cherish his strength, humor, generosity, and steadfast love. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled, the memories he created, and the laughter that will echo in the hearts of all who knew him.
He is now reunited with Cheryl, the love of his life, and together they remain an enduring example of a life built on love, commitment, and family.
Charlie will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of his family and friends.
