Debra Marie "Debbie" Daley (nee DeGroat) departed this earthly life for her heavenly home on Friday, Jan. 18, 2019.
Born on June 19, 1968, Debbie was a lifelong resident of Staten Island. She was a member of the Richmond Cadets and a 1986 graduate of Susan Wagner High School. She went on to work for Met Life as an administrative assistant in Manhattan, and was a graduate of Barbizon Modeling and Acting School. An active member of the community, Debbie also worked in child care and retail on Staten Island.
In November of 2002, Debbie was married to Raymond Daley, a captain in the New York Police Department, and remained a loving and devoted wife until her death. Their union was blessed with one son, Justin, age 14.
In addition to Raymond and Justin, Debbie also leaves behind to cherish her memory her mother, Marie Byrd of Staten Island; her twin sister, Dianne Gittens (husband Kirk) of Delaware, and big sister, Dawn DeVeaux (husband Edmund) of New Jersey; her aunt, Virginia Ragsdale, and cousins, Ronald and Kevin Moore, all of New Jersey; nieces, Ashley Wilson (husband Jason), Bryana and Abrielle DeVeaux; two great-nephews, Ezra and Nehemiah, and one great-niece, Esther.
Visiting Thursday 4:00pm to 8:00 pm at Harmon Funeral Home 571 Forest Avenue Staten Island, NY 10310
Friday: There will be a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m., and funeral service at 11 a.m., on Friday, Jan. 25, 2019, at Sharon Baptist Church, 25 Howard St., New Brunswick, N.J., followed by interment at Beth Israel Cemetery/Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Route 1 North , 1098 Woodbridge Center Dr., Woodbridge, N.J.
